■ 解答・解説
第２問Ａはスタンダードな文法問題です。大学受験生にとって、最もなじみがある
形式の問題だと思います。１問１分を目安にどんどん解答して、なおかつ高い
正解率が欲しいセクションですね！
問１
「私達の生徒の[ 8 ]は学校にかかるお金を支払うため、夜にパートタイムで働いて
いると理解しています」
{1} almost {2} any {3} anyone {4} most
空欄には"any"や"anyone"を入れると、「生徒の誰でも」のような意味になるので、
ちょっとおかしい。
"almost"と"most"は「ほとんど」みたいな意味で、空欄にはこれらのうちの
どちらかが入れば良さそうです。
"almost"は直後に形容詞が必要で、"of"を置くことはできません。
"almost all of"＝"most of"ですね。
よって、４番が正解！

問２
「今ここにいる７人のうち、１人は中国出身、３人はアメリカ出身、そして[ 9 ]は
フランス出身です」

高校英語の参考書に必ず載っている"other"の使い方に関する問題。
とりあえず、"the"が入ると「残り全部」というイメージになる。と理解しておけば
よいでしょう。
合計７人で、中国が１人、アメリカが３人なので、残りは３人。つまり、
「残り全員がフランス出身」と推測できます。
「残り全員(３人)」なので、"the"を入れて複数の選択肢が正解になりそうです。
ということは、４番が正解！
